Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso all summer long, with Football Insider claiming as recently as Monday that a deal is close after a breakthrough in talks.
Now, it seems that hip-hop artist AJ Tracey has joined the Lo Celso to Spurs bandwagon, with the rapper a well known Tottenham supporter.
He wrote on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday: “My sources (me) tell me lo celso to spurs is almost done. fekir to betis was the missing piece. announcement soon.”

Clearly this is an attempt at humour from the Tottenham-mad AJ Tracey, but the Spurs fans have reacted with delight to what he posted.

You do wonder, though, if Lo Celso getting a direct message from a blue-tick, verified, celebrity like AJ Tracey would have any impact on his decision to join Mauricio Pochettino’s side. You suspect not, of course, but it might have a small bit of an influence on his decision-making if he is a fan of the British hip-hop artist.

Then there are the Tottenham faithful who are seemingly never happy, who are always looking for the next big thing to be confirmed. They’re asking AJ Tracey if he can get Lille winger Nicolas Pepe or Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon on the blower, as well, to see if they’re interested in a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Sessegnon is someone who, like Lo Celso, has been perpetually linked with Pochettino’s team this summer. Football Insider reported recently that Spurs are confident of getting a deal done for the Cottagers speedster before the transfer window closes.

There are some Tottenham fans, though, who were merely pleased with what AJ Tracey did, praising him for trying to get a deal done any way he can.
They love his dedication to his club and appreciate the Lo Celso signing, if it does indeed come off. The Argentine international would, indeed, be a phenomenal signing for the north London giants.
