Leeds United are plotting a summer loan move for Wolves forward Helder Costa, according to Football Insider.
The reputable football outlet has claimed that Costa, who cost Wolves £13million in 2017, has the flair and creativity that Marcelo Bielsa wants in his squad for a potential promotion push.
The Argentine has reportedly made signing wingers his main priority this summer, and the Portuguese international Costa is on his list of targets for next season.
The 25-year-old fell out of favour at Wolves in the Premier League as Nuno Espirito Santo preferred to use attacking wing-backs over wingers. Costa made only 16 starts in the league, scoring one and assisting two goals in his clubs rise to European football.
Good move for Leeds?
This would be a great move for Leeds in their quest for promotion. Costa was outstanding in the Championship for Wolves after arriving from Benfica in 2017. The Portuguese international was instrumental in his side winning the league the year after his arrival, scoring five and assisting six goals for the Molineux side.
Costa was even better when his side were more reliant on him in the previous campaign and scored ten goals with eight assists.
Despite coming from Portugal, Costa holds great English experience, especially in the Championship and could be key to any potential promotion push should Leeds be able to convince him to join.

Likely to happen?
Any potential move would rely on Costa’s motivation to drop down a league from the Premier League. Despite getting smaller minutes on the pitch compared to years gone by, the 25-year-old could be tempted to stay at a club with heavy a Portuguese influence in the hope he can earn more minutes and European football.
The prospect of joining Leeds does certainly turn players’ heads though and with the added formula of Marcelo Bielsa, Costa could certainly be tempted. The former Benfica winger would have the chance to become a main man at the Whites if he joins and play a big part in promotion. Leeds are clearly in the market for Premier League loans, and this move could all hinge on Costa’s decision.
