It is not hard to see why so many Tottenham fans find Manchester United’s interest in Christian Eriksen hilarious. If the Denmark international is going to leave North London, then why would he leave to join a team that has consistently underperformed in recent years and won’t even be playing in the Champions League next season? Man United are a massive club, but Tottenham are a better club to be at right now, with a brand new stadium, one of the best managers in the world and the potential to pull off something very big. According to the London Evening Standard, United are plotting a summer swoop for Eriksen, but there’s no way that moving to Old Trafford would be a step up. Tottenham fans clearly want to see the back of Eriksen this summer after his latest comments on his future at the club, but a supposed ‘step up’ to Man United is something worth laughing about for some supporters.
