Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has revealed it would be a dream to play in the Premier League amidst rumours linking him with a move to Brighton in the summer.

The Finland international has been in great form since moving to Ibrox from Dundee in January for a bargain price of £100,000.

Kamara said to the Daily Record: “Rumours are part of football. But nothing concrete has happened, it is just speculation. Yes, it would be a dream to play in the Premier League, but for the moment I am happy to play for Rangers.”

New Brighton boss, Graham Potter, is said to be a big fan of the Gers’ midfielder and is reported by Teamtalk to be plotting a second bid for the 23-year-old, after failing to bring him to former club Swansea in January.

The Gers enforcer made 16 appearances under Steven Gerrard and was a major part in the Light Blue’s 2-0 success against Celtic in the last Old Firm derby of the season.

Nine-cap international Kamara has been brilliant at Ibrox since arriving in January. The former Arsenal youngster added much more mobility into the center of midfield after joining for a bargain price. There is no surprise that Kamara has admitted it is a dream of his to play in the Premier League, many players around the world will share the same ambition. After failing to make it at Arsenal, it will be an added motivation for him to prove them wrong and make a move to England’s top flight. Kamara also went about his admission the right way, also mentioning that he is fully committed to Rangers and enjoys working under current boss Steven Gerrard. This summer might come a little early for a move to the Premier League in Kamara’s case, with another season in the Scottish Premier League in a potential title push, the much better option at this stage in his career.
