While Celtic might have dominated Scottish football for years the Hoops are still preparing to have the best team in the country years down the line.

With three consecutive domestic trebles and eight league titles in a row, the pressure is on the rest of the Premiership to try and topple Neil Lennons side – a task made much harder by the Bhoys snapping up the best young talent north of the border.

Motherwell confirmed that they had agreed a fee with the reigning champions for star prospect David Turnbull, the 19-year-old having come alive last season with his impressive goal scoring record from midfield.

However, it seems as though the deal might not be as simple as first thought, with Football Insider claiming that the Hoops could see a player or two of their own head to Motherwell on loan, with Anthony Ralston tipped to make a temporary switch.

The young full back only made five first team appearances last season and appears to have fallen down the pecking order – which makes this latest twist in the Turnbull hunt a brilliant piece of business for the Hoops.

Ralston is not going to be playing regular first team football for Neil Lennon any time soon so getting him game time, while at the same time bringing Turnbull on board, kills two birds with one stone.

They get their hands on a seriously promising talent while getting one of their own prospects the action he needs to push on with his development.

While other names are said to be under consideration, getting Ralston out on loan and playing Premiership football would do the Hoops and the player the world of good.
