Neil Lennon could have been dealt a blow in his wish to get deals done quickly after a Celtic transfer dossier was leaked online, according to the Scottish Sun.

The national newspaper claim that a stolen document that appeared to name key targets circulated online and as result the Hoops have launched a top-level probe into the leak.

The Scottish Sun report that Lennon is keen to get business done early, with Champions League qualifiers starting in the second week of July, but state the document will hinder Celtic as they look to seal quick deals for key targets.

It is believed that Lennon and Peter Lawwell have both been made aware of the leak.

OPINION

How embarrassing. When transfer dossiers ‘leak’ and end up on fan forums, normally they end up being false and as a result no one believes they’re legit. However it seems based on the Scottish Sun’s report, that there is a very accurate list circulating the internet and that it could hurt the club’s chances of sealing quick deals. You feel this is the case as other clubs will no doubt become aware of who Celtic want and can either pursue them for themselves or play hardball in negotiations if they own the player as they known Lennon’s side really want them. It will be frustrating for the Hoops if an error, such as a leak, costs them any of their No.1 targets as this summer is set to be a crucial transfer window for them. The Hoops may have continued their domestic dominance in his 2018/19 campaign, but cracks were starting to appear in their squad. This was especially the case with their defence as at times they looked weak at the back. Also as the Scottish Sun points out, the Hoops have already lost Filip Benkovic and Dedryck Boyata and there are doubts over Mikael Lustig.
