With West Ham looking to move quickly to complete their summer business, it was revealed that three senior players would be released by the club. Those three players were Adrian, Andy Carroll, and Samir Nasri. It was confirmed by Chairman David Gold that Spanish keeper Adrian left the club as he was desperate to play first-team football again and Manuel Pellegrini wasted no time in replacing him with the signings of goalkeeping duo Roberto and David Martin. On Wednesday morning, Adrian posted a letter on his personal Twitter account directed to West Ham fans, thanking them for all they have done for him and how many memories he has made during his time in London. Many Hammers fans reacted with great joy as they wished him luck for the future, while also sending their thanks to someone that many consider a legend at the club. One fan replied: “A class act on and off the pitch. A player that will be remembered fondly!” The Spaniard might have fallen down the pecking order in his final year at the club but he is still highly regarded by the supporters.
