An exit from the club for Tottenham defender Danny Rose is surely on the cards after his latest quotes on his North London future.
Speaking to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett – who posted the England international’s quotes on his personal Twitter account – Rose admitted that he is doubtful over whether he will remain at Spurs over the summer.
“If I am great, if not – great,” the 28-year-old said. “It’s no secret I’ve been linked with a move in the media, and it’s the club’s policy to move players on when they reach a certain age.”

These quotes clearly show that Rose would be completely open to leaving North London and finding a new challenge over the coming months, a move which would surely split opinion between Tottenham fans.
Rose has been an influential figure for Spurs in their progression under Mauricio Pochettino over the last few years, although last season was the first where it didn’t really work out for him.
He made 37 appearances overall, but did not put in too many impressive performances and now these quotes surely mean that Rose has accepted the fact that he has not had a great season.
While he said he would definitely be open to staying at Tottenham, it seems that he is – quite frankly – not bothered where he will be playing his football from next season and doesn’t seem to care too much.
These are strange comments from Rose as you would expect him to want his future resolved ahead of the new season, but it looks like he would be open to anything at this point and would accept any move.
There have been reports [Daily Mirror] that Rose could be offered in a swap deal with Everton that would bring Lucas Digne to North London, and maybe this move could be one that interests the 28-year-old.
Another report [The Indepedent] has claimed that Rose would be open to accepting an extension to his Spurs contract if a good offer came in.
At this point though, it definitely looks like Rose could well be off if the right offer arrives. It also looks like Rose is happy to take a back seat and let others decide his future for him.
