Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has said that he is “not focused” on the speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham.
The 23-year-old – who has an £88million release clause in his contract [Football Insider] – has long been the subject of speculation surrounding a move to North London.
A previous report by Sky Sports News claimed that Lo Celso wanted the move, but speaking to Radio La Red, the Argentine insisted that he was only focused on his side’s Copa America campaign, which begins later this month.
“There’s nothing new about Tottenham, I’m 100% focused on what the national team do,” the midfielder said.
“We know how strong the English league is, but I’m not focused on that.”
Lo Celso played 46 times in all competitions for Real Betis last season, scoring 16 goals and chipping in with six assists.
