Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has taken to social media to send a heartfelt message to Aston Villa following the end of his loan spell with the club.

The forward spent last season on loan at Villa Park, scoring 26 goals for the club in all competitions, but now looks to not be making a return to the club next season.

Abraham posted a photo from his personal Instagram account, captioned: “Where do I start. Firstly I want to thank everyone @avfcofficial for a unforgettable season,

“Felt the love and support from the get go & we did it together! This club will always have a place in my heart,

“@avfcofficial welcome to the premier league #UTV #TA18”

OPINION

This message from Abraham does have the feeling of a farewell message, as if he is not in line for a return to Villa Park anytime soon, however the fans may not be too happy with the post, as it means they will have to look elsewhere for goals next season in the Premier League. The question remains as to whether the 21-year old will be getting a chance in the first team for Chelsea anytime soon, but he would arguably have cost Villa a fair bit if they were looking to regain his services again for next season. The club will have to set their sights on somebody else next season, as this message all but confirms that the striker will not be returning to Villa Park next season. Chelsea will no doubt be looking use the 6ft 2in attacker (Source: Transfermrkt) after he’s impressed in the Championship over the last season by scoring 25 goals in the division, as why else wouldn’t he potentially be returning to Villa.
