Aston Villa supporters have taken to Twitter to drool over the prospect of securing a permanent move for Wolves defender Kortney Hause. The centre-back is understood to be on the verge of completing a permanent switch to Villa Park after agreeing a £30,000-a-week contract with the club, according to the Football Insider. Villa fans are rightly gushing over the prospect of re-signing Hause, after the 23-year-old played a vital role in Dean Smith’s side’s push for promotion during the second half of the campaign, following his loan move from Wolves. Hause’s signing would be a boost to Villa ahead of their preparations for the Premier League next term, with Smith’s side a little short in defence following Axel Tuanzebe’s return to parent club Manchester United. Although Hause was left on the bench for Aston Villa’s play-off matches he is still believed to be very highly rated by Smith, who thinks he has the potential to grow into an excellent defender for the club. Most Villa fans seem to be in agreement with that, although some have questioned the size of his potential wages, but that is probably the going rate for a player of Hause’s calibre at the moment and his transfer fee appears to be not too excessive.
