COMMENTARY
Some Aston Villa fans were left unimpressed by midfielder John McGinn against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday despite their side winning 2-1. The 24-year-old is usually a fan favourite at Villa Park as he is the creative spark in Dean Smith’s side, but it seems against West Brom many thought he under performed. A couple of Villans fans even went as far as to say it was McGinn’s worst match of the season and it’s hard to disagree with them. The midfielder was anonymous for the majority of the match and is capable of delivering way better performances than the one he submitted on Saturday. Hopefully for McGinn’s sake and the sake of Smith’s side, the midfielder’s performance was just a rare blip and he’ll be back to his best on Tuesday as his side still need to deliver a top-quality performance to ensure they reach the Championship play-off final.
