West Ham should try to seal a swoop to sign Hoffenheim attacker Steven Zuber after it was reported that the Switzerland international is wanted by the Premier League side.

Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato Web has reported that West Ham, Roma and Lazio are all interested in signing the 27-year-old in the summer transfer window as he enters the final year of his contract with Hoffenheim.

Zuber has spent the second-half of the season on loan at Stuttgart and has been in impressive form by scoring five goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.

He struggled to get much game-time with Hoffenheim before he was loaned out to Stuttgart, so there is a good chance that the attacking midfielder will be up for grabs in the summer.

It would be a real no-brainer for West Ham to go after Zuber as according to Tutto Mercato Web, he is valued at just £6.1million, which is probably due to his contract expiring next year and his lack of game-time at Hoffenheim.

He has played well at Stuttgart so in a sense it is a surprise to see that he could be available for such a bargain fee.

Zuber is a versatile attacking midfielder, who can play on both wings or in a more central midfield role, who has experience of playing in the Champions League and the World Cup.

The 23-times capped Switzerland international is without doubt good enough for West Ham and Manuel Pellegrini should definitely table a bid for him now that the transfer window has opened.

West Ham could do with adding some strength in depth and that is exactly what they will get from Zuber, who has impressed in the Bundesliga and seems like the kind of player who could turn the Premier League into his playground.
