OPINION
West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero as he comes to the end of his current deal at Stamford Bridge and it is understandable to see many Hammers fans on Twitter thrilled with the news. According to a report by the London Evening Standard, West Ham are plotting to move for the 37-year-old Argentine, who previously played at Manchester City for Manuel Pellegrini. The Irons’ current back-up goalkeeper Adrian is set to leave the London Stadium at the end of his contract and Caballero, who is also approaching the end of his deal, is seen as a replacement. Caballero is someone with a lot of experience and has played a key role as a No 2 at both Man City and current club Chelsea. He’s particularly excelled in cup competitions, which is an area West Ham need to improve in. Caballero is also an upgrade on Adrian and considering there won’t be any transfer fee involved, it does seem like a smart move by Pellegrini if he pulls it off.

100% OK with this. If Edi Fernandes comes back too, we could be sitting pretty with only a need for a couple of strikers this season.
