OPINION
You really cannot blame these West Brom fans for savaging Hal Robson-Kanu after getting himself sent off against Derby on Sunday. It was bad enough for Albion supporters watching their team lose 3-1 at Pride Park and miss the chance to go third in the Championship table, but it was baffling when Robson-Kanu kicked out at a Derby player to earn himself a three-match ban and effectively end his season. The Wales international will enter the final year of his contract once the season is over, so is that the last of what we will see of the forward in a West Brom shirt? The fans seem to hope that is the case anyway, especially as a forward he has barely scored any goals this season. He will be missed in a way in the play-offs because his best performances this season have come against the best teams in the league. Ruling himself out of the play-offs is just stupid.

Felt like his career with us is over. Stupid and unnecessary

End of him as a @WBA player hopefully – never good enough.

Stop his wages this month, ridiculous red card

Genuinely hope that act of petulance is the last thing we see of HRK in WBA colours.
Selfish, stupid and a dereliction of duty given the magnitude of the fixtures we've got coming up. Get him in the bin. #wba

Which is a great shame given that this is the man we were singing about following the Villa away match 3 months ago. He hasn’t been all bad. But he hasn’t been good enough. And this action was ridiculous.
