On-loan Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has posted a picture of Aston Villa fans at Wembley on his Instagram story with the defender expected to play for the club in the play-off final next Monday.

Mings has been a revelation since arriving at Villa – he has played 17 times in claret and blue and his performances have helped Villa find red-hot form.

The Bournemouth loanee posted this picture on his official Instagram story with the play-off final just seven days away and it seems the 26-year-old can’t wait for the occasion.

“7 days.” Mings posted on his official Instagram story.

OPINION

Mings has been superb for Villa and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see him back at Villa Park next season – especially if Villa do win promotion. His defensive consistency has solidified the defence and Dean Smith’s side have been the most in-form side in the Championship from the beginning of March. It’s good to see a loan player like Mings showing so much passion and desire – it’s as if he is a Villa player through and through.  Villa have already beaten Derby twice this season and ran riot at Villa Park against the Rams back in March when they came out 4-0 winners. It would be a tremendous achievement if Dean Smith is able to win promotion and they have a fantastic opportunity to do so on May 27. Some of the football has been a joy to watch and the players that have been brought to the club have delivered what was expected.
