Mauricio Pochettino is predicted to make five changes to his starting line-up ahead of Tottenham’s clash against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Jan Vertonghen and Kieran Trippier are likely to miss out due to injuries while Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose and Fernando Llorente could also be dropped from the team that lost 1-0 to Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Juan Foyth, Ben Davies, Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko and Heung-min Son might all return to Pochettino’s starting line-up to take on the Cherries on the south coast, in a game that Spurs ideally need to win in order to secure their spot in the top-four of the Premier League.

Hugo Lloris is predicted to start in goals behind a back-four of Foyth, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld and Davies.

After suffering a head injury against Ajax, Vertonghen is likely to be left out of the match against Bournemouth while Trippier is reportedly a doubt.

Sissoko and Dier both started on the bench against Ajax but are predicted to start in the deeper-lying midfield positions this weekend with Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura ahead of them in the attacking and wide roles.

Son was suspended for the defeat on Tuesday but is likely to start against Bournemouth. That will mean that £75,000-a-week [Spotrac] striker Llorente could be axed by Pochettino and named on the bench at the Vitality Stadium.
