Tottenham fans are understandably thrilled with the idea of signing Monaco playmaker Youri Tielemans after it was reported that his agent has been in touch with the North London club. HLN journalist Kristoff Terrur has told Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast [14m25s] that Tielemans’ agent has “had talks with Spurs and Man United” after his loan deal with Leicester City expired at the end of the Premier League season. The Belgium international thoroughly impressed while on loan at the King Power Stadium by scoring three goals and supplying five assists in 13 Premier League appearances, so it is no shock to see that many Tottenham fans gushing over the central-midfielder on Twitter. Tielemans wouldn’t be a like-for-like replacement for Christian Eriksen as the Denmark international is a more advanced playmaker whereas the Monaco ace sits in a more deeper role. However he could definitely fill a creative void should Eriksen quit Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
