Tottenham are on the brink of a £25million agreement to sign Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims that the Cottagers are ready to cash in on the 18-year-old this summer due to their relegation and him entering the final year of his contract.

It is understood that while Sessegnon has not had an amazing debut season in the Premier League at Craven Cottage, Mauricio Pochettino is confident of improving the winger, whose valued has dropped 50 per cent in the last year.

Good move for Tottenham?

Sessegnon’s form has not been very good this season but he is clearly a player with a lot of potential and could end up being well worth the £25million that Spurs are reportedly close to paying for him.

It is harsh to judge the 18-year-old on this season alone because everyone saw how well he did in the Championship last term and Fulham have been downright dreadful at times in the Premier League.

Pochettino will definitely improve the England Under-21 international over time and £25million is actually a decent fee for a young English player that has a big future ahead of him.

Likely to happen?

Once Tottenham agree a fee to sign Sessegnon then they should not face any issues in signing the young winger, who was also play at left-back.

Sessegnon is surely keen on joining Spurs so there should not be any hitches when it comes to personal terms and Tottenham fans can expect Daniel Levy to finally splash the cash on a new signing at the club.
