Daniel Levy should be thrilled if Tottenham manage to sign reported left-back target Arthur Masuaku from West Ham in the summer transfer window.

According to the Sun, Spurs are interested in signing the 25-year-old amid doubts surrounded the future of Danny Rose after a previous report by the same newspaper claimed that the Champions League final against Liverpool could be his final appearance for the North London club.

Rose is by far and away Tottenham’s best left-back but he seems to have been linked with leaving the club for quite some time now and the thought of Ben Davies becoming Mauricio Pochettino’s first pick in that position should send shivers down the spine of any supporter.

Davies has not played well at all this season so with Rose potentially leaving, it makes sense to shown interest in Masuaku.

The DR Congo international has been in red-hot form for West Ham lately.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side ended their Premier League campaign with three wins on the bounce with the former Olympiakos left-back impressing in each one of those victories.

Reliable West Ham news website Claret & Hugh reported in February that West Ham could consider offers for Masuaku in the summer transfer window if they are in the region of £10million.

That is a very cheap sum of money for someone who is experienced in the Premier League and is a full international.

Levy is known for not wanting to spend big on players so that low valuation of Masuaku should be extremely excited for someone as tightfisted as him.

Rose is someone who could fetch a lot more than £10million so signing his replacement for so cheap could help Tottenham to invest in other areas of their squad like the midfield.

Pochettino needs good attack-minded left-backs and Masuaku is one of the best attacking full-backs in the Premier League.

Yes, the defensive side to his game is not great, but when has that stopped Pochettino from signing full-backs like that?

It makes a lot of sense to go after Masuaku and Levy should be very happy if Spurs sign the 25-year-old in the upcoming transfer window.
