Rangers comfortably beat Old Firm rivals Celtic 2-0 at Ibrox yesterday in what was the final meeting between the two sides this season. Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara played a starring role in the win and Gers fans lauded their midfielder on Twitter.

Kamara’s brilliant burst from midfield led to Scott Arfield’s goal in the 64th minute, Rangers had previously taken the lead courtesy of a James Tavernier free-kick in the second minute.

Following Kamara’s move from Dundee in January, the Finland international arrived with little expectation – it’s fair to say he has made a serious impact now.

Kamara ran the show in midfield and his work ethic and constant surging runs caused problems all afternoon. Celtic’s Scott Brown in particular struggled to deal with Kamara’s threat.

The 23-year-old’s value must have rocketed, considering Steven Gerrard only forked out £50k to bring him to Ibrox, and it has to go down as a seriously impressive piece of business.

Gers fans will be hoping that Kamara can continue his superb form into next season, he will be a major asset and will play a crucial role in helping Rangers knock Celtic off their title perch.

This Is Futbol rounded up some of the best tweets from Rangers fans following Kamara’s fantastic display:
