Danny Rose claimed once Tottenham teammate Harry Kane starts sharing how he feels there is no stopping him.

The Spurs full-back shared in an interview with talkSPORT that the England captain did give a fiery team-talk at half-time against Ajax in Amsterdam and that it was typical of the attacker as he didn’t usually hold back.

“Once Harry goes, he goes, he is very passionate and we can’t wait for him to come back,” said Rose on talkSPORT (17:09, Friday May 17th).

This led Sam Matterface, who was interviewing him, to share his surprise over the thought of Kane ranting by questioning Rose’s claims: “Does he? We really don’t see that side of him…”

Rose then backed up what he previously said and used it to point out that Kane’s passionate speeches showed that he cared.

“When Harry goes, he goes, y’know it’s a great side to see of him as it shows that he cares,” added Rose.

“He’s got all these goals and all these accolades and you know he is never satisfied, and he is a great England captain to have and great club captain to have at Tottenham.”

OPINION

Matterface was clearly surprised to hear that Kane is the type of person to go on full-blown passionate rants, and it’s hard to imagine why he was so taken back by Rose’s claim about his teammate. The 25-year-old is captain of Spurs and England so clearly must have it in his locker to deliver passionate speeches that see his teammates raise their game. While Kane seems softly spoken during interviews, it’s not like he is PR trained. If the Spurs forward came out publicly foaming at the mouth over the display of his teammates, he’d be ripped apart by the media for doing so. Kane clearly knows when it’s time to let loose with his words and when it’s time to be seen as a role model capable of saying the right things in front of the camera. Also it’s no surprise that Rose is eager to see Kane back in action soon as given that the 25-year-old has managed to score 24 goals in an injury-hit season, he is a player who can help Spurs overcome Liverpool in the Champions League final.
