Italian giants Inter Milan are preparing an early bid for Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez, according to The Northern Echo.
Inter are planning to put in a formal offer for the 25-year-old in the “immediate aftermath” of Newcastle’s final match of the season at Fulham on Sunday.
Luciano Spalletti is in the market for new attacking options this summer and Perez is emerging as one of his main targets.
Perez has been crucial for the Magpies this campaign, his 11 Premier League goals have resulted in him receiving interest from clubs across Europe.
Rafa Benitez values the forward at around £25 million and will be doing all he can in order to prevent him from losing one of his prized assets.
Good move for Newcastle?
It’s not at all surprising to see so many big clubs sniffing around Perez. He has been a bright spark this season and has put on some dazzling performances. It would be a major blow if Newcastle were to lose one of their key men and must ensure that they do their very best to hold onto him. Perez and Rondon have formed a solid partnership and it would be a crying shame for the Magpies to lose their assets. Inter are a giant of the game and a move to the San Siro would interest the very best, Newcastle must remain resolute.

It can only be reiterated, Inter Milan are a huge force in football and it would be very difficult for Perez to snub a potential offer. Benitez will be desperate to not lose the Spaniard and will be pulling out all the stops to prevent a deal taking place. After such a fine season, however, bids for the forward are inevitable and Newcastle must brace themselves.
