After Tuesday’s dramatic Champions League semi-final clash which saw Liverpool overturn a three goal deficit to beat Barcelona and reach a second consecutive final, English football celebrated one of their club’s return to glory. A second half that included three goals meant Jurgen Klopp’s men won 4-3 on aggregate. In the minority that didn’t celebrate were their arch rivals Everton. At the forefront of this was Toffee’s legend Peter Reid who shared his disappointment on his personal Twitter account by cheekily claiming he was ready to ’emigrate’ after Liverpool’s success at Anfield on Tuesday. That was after admitting that Liverpool were the better side over the two legs and many Everton fans joined their former hero in preparing to leave to get away from their noisy neighbours in Merseyside in the responses. One fan replied: “We’re all coming with you Peter” while another said: “Set up a camp Reidy, we can all leave together”.
Better team over the two legs @LFC. Looks like I’m emigrating.
