Everton have signed goalkeeper Jonas Lossl on a three-year deal, it has been confirmed.
The Blues announced via their official Twitter account on Friday that Lossl will join the club on a free transfer once his contract at Huddersfield expires at the end of June.

It is likely that Lossl – who featured in 31 Premier League games this season – will provide backup between the sticks for England international Jordan Pickford.
OPINION
This move is one that has been mooted for a while now, as the deal has now been confirmed, it is bound to be a good bit of business from Everton. It means that current second-choice stopper Maarten Stekelenburg will likely leave and be replaced by an altogether better backup goalkeeper. This is the predicament with second-choice goalkeepers – you need someone who is decent enough to step in when needed, but who is also willing to effectively warm the bench until the first-choice stopper makes a calamitous error or is injured. In Lossl, they have both. The Dane is probably good enough to go and get first-team action somewhere else in Europe, but if this report is true it seems like after being a key member of Huddersfield’s – albeit miserable – Premier League campaign, he wants another crack at top-flight action and there is no doubt he will work hard to get it if he does indeed join Everton.
