COMMENTARY
Arsenal drew 1-1 with Brighton on Sunday and many Gunners fans have some very kind words to say about attacker Alexandre Lacazette as a result. The 27-year-old may not have got on the score sheet but several Arsenal supporters couldn’t help noticed the work he put in to help his side get over the line. One Arsenal fan highlighted that many often failed to notice Lacazette dropping deep to help his team while another claimed he must be worth £120million given that he is a great player. While some Gunners fans were pleased with Lacazette, there were few moments in the match with Brighton where he was frustrating to watch. The attacker’s touch at times was way too heavy and saw him give away possession cheaply and sometimes he dropped way too deep that he wasn’t in a helpful position when the Gunners launched an attack.

Great ball retention by Lacazette.

That money we spent on Lacazette is worth every penny. He has been superb. He holds the ball for his teammates, runs the length of field to help defence & still manages to have a go at Brighton keeper. What a player.

Lacazette is playing excellent. Deserves a goal, ozil has done 2-3 great key passes and auba is just doing his thing, which ia scoring goals. Keep it going boys??

Not sure people realise how much extra work Auba and Laca do covering those wide spots. Lacazette’s work rate is appreciated cos it’s very visible and he drops back into midfield where people notice it. But both players essentially play upfront and wide at the same time.
