Ryan Kent has revealed that he could still be a Rangers player next season.

The 22-year-old has been in red-hot form while on loan at Ibrox this term, but he is currently due to return to parent club Liverpool once the campaign is over.

The Liverpool Echo has reported in March that Steven Gerrard would be unlikely to sign Kent on another deal once his loan expires and the chances of a permanent switch are next to nothing as the Premier League giants want over £12million for the jet-heeled winger.

However Kent has now admitted that it is a “possibility” that he will still be at Ibrox for the 2018/19 season.

Press Association journalist Andy Newport quoted the Liverpool loanee via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon.

Ibrox will surely roar over hearing the news that Kent could be staying put at Rangers for another season.

The former England Under-20 international has been in stellar form this term, scoring six goals and supplying nine assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for the Light Blues.

It is clear that Kent thrives while playing under Gerrard’s leadership and to have him for a second season would be a huge boost as the Gers aim to stop Celtic’s march to winning 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row.

Kent has not only been one of the best players at Ibrox this term, he has also been one of the best in Scotland, so to lose him in the summer would be a massive blow for Rangers.

However judging by this latest revelation by the winger, there is a chance that he is staying on.
