David Gold has wished West Ham captain Mark Noble a “happy birthday” on Twitter.

Noble has been in fantastic form for the Hammers this season and the midfielder turned 32 on Wednesday.

Gold posted a funny image of the Noble via his personal Twitter account on the captain’s birthday and also sent him his best wishes.

“Captain of West Ham Mark Noble is 32 to day. Happy Birthday Mark see you tonight at the awards dinner. Have a great day,” said the West Ham co-chairman. “I just love this picture.”

OPINION

Noble has been very impressive for West Ham this season. He put in one of his best performances in claret and blue on Saturday when the Hammers beat Southampton 3-0 at the London Stadium. The now 32-year-old has been criticised in the past but fans cannot deny that this season the midfielder has massively stepped up his game. Hopefully West Ham can get a few more years out of Noble and maybe finish in seventh place next season. He is not getting any younger and a piece of silverware or a place in Europe is exactly what the central-midfielder deserves for all the loyalty he has shown towards the London club. Him and Declan Rice have forged a solid partnership in Manuel Pellegrini’s first team and even though Rice did not play on Saturday, Pedro Obiang came in and did a great job alongside him too. Noble just seems to lift everyone else in the side when he’s playing well.
