Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has responded on Twitter to video footage of Aston Villa player Conor Hourihane punching Mateusz Klich.

The incident was part of the brawl at Elland Road, which ended with Patrick Bamford facing a two-match ban for deception of the referee.

However, the FA panel decided that the Hourihane punch did not amount to violent conduct and will take no further action against the Villa player.

After seeing the video footage Radrizzani said, “Speechless! Nothing will stop us.”

Radrizzani posted his response on his personal Twitter page on Tuesday night.

OPINION

It’s safe to sat that Radrizzani isn’t happy about this and you can see why. The video footage is quite clear and if that doesn’t amount to violent conduct, then the FA might need to change its definition. What it means is that Leeds are now a man down for the first leg of their play-off semi-finals, and the Villa players get off scott free for their part in the fracas. No wonder Leeds think there’s an agenda against them. And Radrizzani alludes to that when he says “Nothing will stop us” in a message that Leeds fans will love. The Hourihane punch wasn’t seen on Sunday so it went in front of a three-man ref panel who decided no further action should be taken. That does seem odd when almost every pundit who has seen the incident seems to think that Hourihane was guilty. Some more detailed explanation would have been good but we won’t get that from the FA.
