Fox Sports journalist Christian Martin has suggested that Leeds United should not be worried about Marcelo Bielsa leaving the club this summer.
The Argentine was unable to guide the club to promotion despite a stellar campaign, and there have been concerns expressed over whether he will stay at the club next season.
But Martin seems confident that he will.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, he said: “Great people of Leeds. If I was you, I would not worry too much about Marcelo Bielsa.
“He seems ready to stay and build on what’s been achieved it’s just my gut feeling after speaking to a few key people.
“Stand by the man, he is worth it.”

Leeds United fans everywhere will be praying that this is true. Martin is a well-respected figure in the South American game, and he seems relatively certain of Bielsa staying at the club. That would be a huge boost for United. The Argentine is just about the most popular man in Yorkshire, and even though he was unable to guide his team into the Premier League this year, the transformative effect he has had at Elland Road is enough to convince many fans that he is the man to do so, eventually. There will be rumours and nerves for sure until some kind of confirmation is made by the club or the manager, but until then, these kind of updates from those who claim to be in the know are all supporters have to go on. It’s not ideal by any means, but it’s better than facing up to the reality of a long, uncertain summer, and the possibiltiy of losing a boss who has made himself an instant hero at the club.
