OPINION
Liverpool got torn apart in the Nou Camp last night, losing 3-0 to Barcelona, although in fairness the result could and should have been a lot tighter.
Mohamed Salah missed an absolutely glorious chance, as did James Milner, who fired a fearsome shot straight down the throat of the Barca keeper.
There has been lots of speculation online about Milner moving back to Leeds if Marcelo Bielsa’s side get promoted in the summer. And that surfaced again among Liverpool and Leeds fans after the action at the Nou Camp.
It wasn’t all complimentary though for either Leeds or for Milner.
Some Liverpool fans said that he could make the move if Leeds get promoted – and there were a few who said they couldn’t wait to see the back of the player.
Milner is out of contract in the summer and that’s what’s prompted so much talk, but there is the matter of his wages – he’s reportedly on £140k-a-week at Anfield and Leeds don’t have that sort of money.
The question is, would he take a big pay cut to end his career where it all started?

Milner has been on the decline all season. He’s too slow, and commits too many fouls. People can go on about his reliability, but there’s a reason why Leeds are being linked with him this summer.
