Opta stat man Johnny Cooper put up a tweet that has had Leeds fans purring – that 20% of Frank Lampard’s defeats in his entire managerial career have been against Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds.
Leeds beat Derby for the third time this season in the first leg of the play-off semi-final on Saturday, although the 1-0 win was the slimmest margin of victory in any of the games.
Leeds beat them 4-1 at Pride Park earlier in the season before a 2-0 victory at Elland Road completed the Championship double.

It’s especially satisfying for Leeds fans after the fallout between the two clubs from the way Derby handled the spygate affair. Manager Lampard was quite dismissive of Bielsa’s attmepts to explain his actions by saying that Derby do analysis too.
If that percentage goes up on Wednesday night at Elland Road, Leeds will have progressed to the play-off final at Wembley where they’ll face either West Brom or Aston Villa.
