Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette could be a potential summer transfer target for Barcelona if the La Liga side miss out on Antoine Griezmann, according to a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Lacazette, who joined Arsenal from Lyon in the summer of 2017, has been an key figure at the Emirates this season, scoring 13 goals and registering eight assists in the Premier League so far this campaign.
However, the Frenchmen has sometimes found himself placed on the bench under Unai Emery, with the Spaniard opting to rotate him with fellow striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.
Barcelona are thought to be looking to replace Luis Suarez in the near future as he nears the end of his career, and although their top target is believed to be Griezmann, they could turn their attentions to Lacazette should they miss out on the Atletico Madrid forward.

The Frenchmen has adapted very well to English football since his move, and has established himself as a key player in Emery squad as they look to secure Champions League qualification for next season. Barcelona have long since admired Lacazette’s fellow countryman Griezmann, but if they fail to secure his signature a move for Lacazette could provide a useful alternative for the Spanish side. The France international has the sort of skills required to operate up front for Barcelona, with the ability to take and create chances, evidenced by his good link-up play with Aubameyang at times this season . It is unlikely that Arsenal would be willing to let him move this summer, as they continue to rebuild under Emery and they will be hopeful of adding to their squad rather than letting key players leave the club. Arsenal supporters will be hoping that Barcelona’s interest does not become more serious as the summer progresses, or they could potentially risk losing one of their most important attacking players.
