Daniel Levy is not someone who is known for spending big sums of cash in the Premier League and most Tottenham fans have been furious with the chairman for not spending a penny in the last two transfer windows.

Lucas Moura is still Spurs’ newest addition even though he joined from Paris Saint-Germain last January, but according to a report by the Sun, the London club is expected to sign players in the upcoming summer transfer window and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon is someone that Mauricio Pochettino is gunning to sign.

Sessegnon, 18, is someone who has been on Tottenham’s radar for quite some time because of his seemingly massive potential, but judging by this latest update, the club seems closer than ever to snapping up the young winger.

It is understood that Pochettino is winning the race for Sessegnon’s signature with Fulham braced for offers in the summer because the England Under-21 international enters the final year of his contract.

The Cottagers have also been relegated from the Premier League and the loss of the jaw-dropping TV money in the next 12 months is bound to see an increased need to raise cash in different ways.

One way that Fulham can make some money is by cashing in on Sessegnon.

The Sun reports that the left-sided flyer was once valued at £50million by Fulham, but as his contract expires in 2020, he could be offloaded for less than that to avoid the possibility of him being available for just £500,000 at the end of next season.

Tight-fisted Spurs chairman Levy is surely licking his lips over the prospect of signing the English wonderkid on what could be a bargain deal, whether it be this summer or next.

Fulham are unlikely to demand £50million for a player who they essentially need to get rid of in the next transfer window, rather than risk letting him go for peanuts in 2020.

Tottenham are said to be in pole position to sign Sessegnon and that can mean only one thing – Levy is out for a bargain.
