Kris Commons has been left drooling over Celtic attacking maestro Tom Rogic as he names the Australian as part of the Hoops’ best attacking quartet at Neil Lennon’s disposal.
The attacking midfielder was named alongside Odsonne Edouard, James Forrest and Scott Sinclair to take on Kilmarnock on Saturday having recently returned to the first team after a long term injury absence.
Commons was left heralding the impact the 26-year-old has on the side and insists he makes part of the most dangerous four the Bhoys can call upon.
Speaking on Sky Sports‘ coverage of Saturday’s early kick off (27/04, 12:07) he said: “The four that are starting (v Kilmarnock), that’s the best attacking players that they’ve got at their disposal.
“When they’re in full flow and when they’re fit, there’s no better attacking options. They’ve got direct pace, they’ve got power, they’ve got strength, a nice bit of finesse.
“When Tom Rogic, and I always keep going on about Tom, but when he’s in full flow he’s a joy to watch. Receiving of the ball, he can see a pass and also an eye for goal. Now he’s back up to speed, back in the team, got his fitness back.”

Unfortunately for Celtic fans they have not seen enough of Rogic this season thanks to his injury problems but there is no doubting that on his day he makes all the difference. He is a big game player who nearly always delivers when it matters and having that almost assured performance up front is massive for Celtic. He connects the midfield to the attack brilliantly and when you have the likes of Forrest, Sinclair and Edouard ahead of him, you know that the opposition are going to find it a battle to keep the Hoops at bay. The aim for the club now will be to keep him fit and firing for the rest of the season in the hunt for a third consecutive treble. If he can rediscover his best form this season and heading into next year then you would not put it past the Bhoys to secure another title and even perhaps a fourth treble winning campaign. That is the sort of impact he can have when he is fit and firing.
