Wolves winger Adama Traore has tumbled out of manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s long term plans after failing to impress following his move to Molineux last summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The football news website claim that the former Middlesbrough man, who joined Wolves in a record breaking deal in the summer window of 2018, has found himself down the pecking order and is not seen as someone with a long term future at the club.

The 23-year-old, on £43,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac) at Molineux, has featured 28 times in the Premier League but only eight of those have come in the starting XI.

Opinion

Hopes were so high for Traore when he arrived at Wolves last summer, perhaps too much so. He was seen as an explosive but raw attacker with lightning pace and while he has shown the ability to have an impact, he has been nowhere near consistent enough. His decision making in particular has been poor and you can understand why Nuno has not been too impressed with what he has seen from the man brought in from Boro. There is still a lot of potential there but he is very much a player who needs plenty of work and perhaps the Wolves boss is not the manager to get the best out of him. He has proven to be an expensive failure thus far at Molineux and it does not look like the winger will be given the chance to prove his doubters wrong any time soon. Could he be out the door this summer? That remains to be seen, but Nuno does not seem to have too much faith he can lift his game to the required heights.
