OPINION
This was far from the perfect set-up for the semi-finals of the Champions League and it wasn’t great for Tottenham’s hunt for a top-four spot either. That was the opinion of Pochettino after the game, who said that his side was tired. It’s never good when your best player is your goalkeeper and that was the case today with Hugo Lloris single-handedly saving Sours from a pasting against a West Ham side that grew into the game in the second-half. He made some fine saves to keep the scoreline respectable and Tottenham fans recognised his efforts, with one saying he was the only player to earn his wages today. That’s not far off the mark. The rest of the Tottenham team huffed and puffed, but they always looked in danger of losing their record at the new stadium today. And Tottenham fans can thank Lloris for the fact they’ve still only conceded one.
Here are the best reactions to Lloris’ display against West Ham:
I know Lloris isn't everyone's favorite player this season but without him this game we'd be 3-0 down

What a save by Lloris…took a deflection and still stopped it

This was the worst performance of the season.
Now tell me we don’t need to buy! We were so fkng slow! Lloris is the only one to earn his wages today!— Alan CarterTHFC. (@uglyoldgit) April 27, 2019
On the bright side – decent game from Lloris. Good to see after his recent form. Everyone else was pony.

Tottenham has been incredibly poor in the second half. I an finding it difficult to see what Llorente actually does for this football club. Westham should have doubled their lead. Diop surged through the midfield and ran across Toby but Lloris was excellent.
