COMMENTARY
To say that England international Kieran Trippier had a game to forget for Tottenham against Brighton on Tuesday night would be an understatement. The full back, known for his ability to rampage forward and cause all sorts of problems with his crosses from out wide, offered absolutely nothing for Fernando Llorente to feed off. As the fuming Tottenham faithful say on Twitter, he not only delivered poor efforts from the flanks, he stopped trying to put the ball into the box altogether. He has sunk like a stone after a tremendous summer with the Three Lions at the World Cup last summer and Spurs fans much be wondering where the player that had them drooling has gone. He needs to improve his game massively if he wants to stay in north London, with plenty of speculation surrounding his future. After Tuesday’s performance, you can see why Mauricio Pochettino might be wanting a new right back this summer.
