North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal are both chasing the capture of Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser this summer, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claim on their website that the 25-year-old attacker has been watched by both the Lilywhites and the Gunners ahead of the summer transfer window, having starred for the Cherries this season.

The Scottish international, who has seven caps under his belt, has scored six goals and chipped in with a further 10 assists for the south coast side, and is versatile enough to play on either wing or through the middle as an attacking midfield.

Good move for Tottenham or Arsenal?

Fraser’s record for a side sitting in the middle of the table is an impressive one and after a couple of seasons in the Premier League looks ready to push on for bigger and brighter things among the top flight.

Some might question why Tottenham need another winger with the likes of Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son among their squad but if anyone were to leave Spurs this summer a replacement would need to be brought in and Fraser ticks a lot of boxes, not least the fact he is a home grown talent.

As for Arsenal, they already have plenty of talent out wide but they could do with more goals from their wingers and Fraser’s form suggests he could give them what they want.

Likely to happen?

If these big boys of the Premier League want him then Bournemouth are going to face a battle to keep him on board this summer.

It is about time he gets the chance to prove himself at a higher level and the question could well be which side of north London he ends up in.

Both teams look ready to pounce if they want to – but can they blow their rivals out the water?
