COMMENTARY
He might want to leave Newcastle United for personal reasons but that has not allowed Isaac Hayden’s performances for the Magpies to drop. He was absolutely superb in the first 45 minutes against Southampton and the Toon Army let Twitter know it, raving over his ability to control the centre of the St James’ Park pitch. It was his crunching challenge in the final third which won back possession and led to Ayoze Perez’s opener and he generally gave Southampton no time or space of their own to build an attack. It seems he will be leaving Tyneside sooner rather than later and while the £30million asking price one Newcastle fan has slapped on his head might be a little steep, there is definitely some money to be made from his sale. It is the only shining light is losing him for the Magpies, as he has been one of their stand out performers all season.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the Toon Army’s raving tweets:

If he gets sold as he desires, Isaac Hayden is a $20 million midfielder at least #nufc
