COMMENTARY
Liverpool attacker Divock Origi is likely kicking himself after failing to take his chance to impress against Porto on Wednesday. Jurgen Klopp opted to start the 23-year-old against the Portuguese giants but quickly changed his mind about having the player on the pitch as he substituted him in the 46th minute. This decision reflected Origi’s performance as nothing went right for the attacker. The 23-year-old was unable to hold onto the ball when it was played through to him and when he did get time to dribble forward, he’d run straight into his opponent. While Origi has shown glimpses of his talent from the bench this season in order to give himself a chance of having a bright future at Anfield, his latest display undid a lot of his good work in many ways. As one Reds fan pointed out Origi’s display made him look not good enough to play for the club and one even claimed the player wasn’t working hard enough. However while loads of Reds fans were unhappy with Origi at least their side secured a 4-1 win over Porto.

Origi…not for me. Not working hard enough and showing a lack of confidence.

Origi solidifying his place as an impact sub. Simply not a good enough player to start for us.

Origi is that player a team has to bring in as they were short of a player. Absolutely clueless that guy. Doesn't deserve a place in this LFC team.

Winning so shouldn’t complain, but Milner, Gini, and Origi were so bad – VVD didn’t show up for the first 20 mins too

Origi is a bit of a fish out of water here
