OPINION
Aymeric Laporte has been so solid for Manchester City this season, but what on earth happened to him in the first few minutes against Tottenham on Wednesday night? Both of Heung-min Son’s goal could have been prevented by the France international, who had an absolute shocker in the first-half at the Etihad in City’s Champions League quarter-final. It is no surprise at all to see so many Man City fans savaging the centre-back on Twitter because they should have been a lot more composed after Raheem Sterling scored the opener. Eventually it led to Man City conceding two away goals, which at this stage in the Champions League, is really poor in-game management by the players. Laporte will know that he had a shocker and hopefully he can bounce back from that to help Man City win the race for the Premier League title. John Stones was on the bench against Spurs though and he might have a word with Pep Guardiola after that display by Laporte.
