BBC Sportsound pundit Tam McManus has blasted Olivier Ntcham for his performance in Celtic’s 0-0 draw with Hibernian at Easter Road on Sunday afternoon.

Ntcham, 23, was not at all at the races as the Hoops failed to score in Edinburgh, but the same could be said about several of his team-mates who were cancelled out by Paul Heckingbottom’s side.

The former Manchester City midfielder was particularly underwhelming though, and McManus wasn’t afraid to rip into him during the match.

“Ntcham is having another nightmare,” McManus said via his personal Twitter account on Sunday.

OPINION

Ntcham has been poor for Celtic pretty much all season, which is probably why McManus said that it was “another” nightmare for the French midfielder. He was very wasteful in possession at Easter Road, with so many of his passes not coming anywhere near close to finding his team-mates in the final third. Ntcham was substituted off by Neil Lennon in the 61st minute with Tom Rogic replacing him, and the Australian playmaker instantly made an impact for the Bhoys as they looked a lot more likely to score with him on the pitch than the hapless 23-year-old. Ntcham might not have a future at Celtic Park past this season unless he can improve his performances before the end of the season. Too many of Celtic’s players have been passengers this season, and if a club like Rangers or Aberdeen had performed better, the domestic treble might not have been so straightforward.
