Leeds United are yet to really get their money’s worth for Patrick Bamford, who has cost them up to £10million but has not produced anywhere near enough goals for the promotion-chasing Yorkshire giants. Understandably, some Leeds fans destroyed the 25-year-old for his performance in the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon. Not only was he absolutely woeful in the Leeds attack, he should also be ashamed of himself for the simulation that led to Anwar El-Ghazi being sent off. Bamford pretended that El-Ghazi hit him in the face with his arm after Mateusz Klich scored the controversial opening goal. It was disgraceful by Bamford, who appeared to resort to cheating in an attempt to try and help his side win because he was so bad at trying to play the game fairly. Leeds fans have been too kind on Bamford here, if anything. He should hang his head in shame after that display.
