OPINION
It seems like Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi cannot seem to string together a run of impressive performances for the team at the moment – and that is no different in this 2-0 win over Bolton on Friday. He was decent enough in Villa’s win at the weekend, but against a club who have just been relegated after this display, it was surprising not to see him continue that. It is no wonder the fans are extremely frustrated at him here, then – they know that he has the quality to do well, but he cannot seem to keep up the good work. He has shown many times this season that he can make a real impact on matches, so why can’t he do that all the time? If anything, this is what the fans are most annoyed about here, especially after the sitter he missed in the first half to put Villa in the lead.

I genuinely didn’t realise El Ghazi was playing today. #AVFC

Game there to win for #avfc
Adomah is nothing like the player he was , El Ghazi seems unable to give two performances in a row , With no supply line , Tammy very quiet again. Cmon Villa we need these points – Deano shake it up !— Paul H (@paulha74) April 19, 2019

Not a very impressive first half IMO. Need to up the tempo. El Ghazi not as "on" today as he was last time. A couple of scares through the half. We will win this if we get the first goal. Come on boys! #avfc
