COMMENTARY

The nerves must be jangling at Leeds United and there would have been nothing more that the Elland Road faithful would have wanted to see more than an early goal against Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon. However, they were left disappointed with what they saw – and not because they were not creating the chances. In fact they had a glorious opportunity through Tyler Roberts, a mainstay under Marcelo Bielsa, with the versatile forward finding himself in a great opportunity to pass across the box for Jack Harrison. However, as is so often the case with strikers, he took the opportunity himself and the tight angle did him no favours, missing the goal and passing up a clear cut chance. It is no wonder the Leeds faithful were left tearing him apart on Twitter – a player with more experience or awareness would have known what to do. Instead, the Whites were left ruing their luck in the first half.
