Leeds are making the necessary preparations for life in the Premier League next season, according to LeedsLive.

They claim that Leeds have to meet a “long list” of Premier League regulations and to that end they have submitted a planning application for “two New 44 High LED Floodlighting Masts”.

The application is currently with Leeds Council and a date for this to be validated is listed as May 29.

LeedsLive claim these will be erected at the north-west and south-west corners of the stadium.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are currently doing the business on the pitch and it means that owner Andrea Radrizzani can start planning for the reality of life in the Premier League. New LED spotlights are on the list and will be installed over the summer if Leeds go up. There’s so much on the line – from players down to the infrastructure at Elland Road – but Leeds are currently holding their nerve. They’ve now got four games left and play twice over the Easter weekend, against Wigan on Friday and Brentford on Monday. Two wins could even see them promoted if other results go their way. Given the recent form at the top, though, it’s far more likely that the race for the automatic promotion spots will go all the way down to the wire. That’s great for the neutrals, but not so good for the players, fans and for Radrizzani’s Premier League planning.
