Leeds fans have been wowed by the football from their side this season under Marcelo Bielsa, but it’s seemingly nothing new.
A tweet from Chilean outlet Tienda de Deportes has shown an amazing similarity between a goal scored by Leeds and one from the Chile national team under Bielsa back in the day.
Both moves start off on the left flank before passing across the pitch leaves the ball deep on the right. After the ball is crossed in, the goals are scored in the bottom left of the net.
The tweet reads, “The Leeds now and The Red before… The stamp of Bielsa….!!!” and Leeds fans have flocked onto Twitter to celebrate the genius of their maverick manager.

It’s a brilliant example of Bielsa-ball and it perhaps shows that if opponents put in as much time studying Bielsa as he infamously does on them, that they might be better prepared for what’s going to happen in the game.
One Leeds fan summed it up perfectly when he said “OMFG amazing tweet” and it shows just what an impact a manager can have on a side. Remember, this is pretty much the same side that failed so dismally in the Championship, finishing 13th.
