Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker has predicted that Celtic will win 3-1 against Hibernian at Easter Road on Sunday afternoon.

The Hoops can secure their eighth Scottish Premiership title in a row if they beat Hibs this weekend, but they must rely on Hearts stopping Rangers from winning at Tynecastle 24 hours beforehand on Saturday.

Ex-Celtic ace Walker believes that Jozo Simunovic will be the key player for the Bhoys in their clash with Hibs, even though he has been on the fringes of the squad for most of the season due to injuries.

“Hampered by too many injuries but excellent for Celtic in last weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final win,” Walker said via the Sky Sports website as he named his key player and predicted the scoreline for Sunday.

OPINION

Simunovic has only made 13 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season, but he was great last week in the win against Aberdeen and it would be a shock if Neil Lennon dropped him from the side to take on Hibs on Sunday. The former Dinamo Zagreb centre-back will have to be on top of his game against Hibs because Paul Heckingbottom has done a good job at Easter Road since replacing Lennon at the helm, and they will definitely be out to stop the Hoops from winning the league. Obviously they won’t have to do it if Rangers win against Hearts on Saturday, but Steven Gerrard’s side is bound to drop points in that game, as they do in most of their big fixtures. That means that Celtic could win their eighth league title in a row, on Easter Sunday, at Easter Road. What a day it could be for the Celtic supporters and their players if they can get it done.
