OPINION
Leeds United did not sign an attacking player in the January window, as they hoped to following the exit of Samuel Saiz, but they did one crucial piece of striker business by extending the contract of Mallik Wilks. The 20-year-old agreed an extension which will keep him at his parent club until the summer of 2022. That could prove to be very shrewd work indeed, as Wilks once again demonstrated his eye for goal at loan outfit Doncaster Rovers in their 1-1 draw at the weekend. Wilks scored his 13th league goal of the season for the League One outfit, which, coupled with seven assists in the competition, further demonstrates what impact he is making in senior football. The versatile attacker, who can play anywhere across the front three, is getting Leeds fans seriously excited about his potential, with many claiming he has the ability to be “a right player” who can cut it for the United first team in the coming years.

I agree Ken, we aren't a CFC who loan youngsters out to then ignore or sell on. (Young foreign players excluded)
We want them to develop & come back better, stronger, faster. We must give Mallik a chance in preseason imo, othwise why bother at all.— Paul Warrick PL (LUFC) (@paulwarrick3) March 3, 2019
